I've been through numerious earthquakes in alaska - DO NOT WANT
Olympia - someone did a comparison of New Orleans and Japan. They had pics of japan before and 1 year after the quake. Japan is almost all cleaned up. Parts of New Orleans are the same as the were when Katrina hit and that was what, 6 or so years ago...
One of my professors said all the rich people left New Orleans before katrina and those that were left behind were the people on the lowest rungs of the social ladder. There were also quite a few people who would not evacuate because they were not allowed to take their pets. One popular story was of a national guardsman telling a little boy he could not take his little white dog - snowball with him. None knows what happened to snowball. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9207628/.../#.UI9CIIbAHU0
Ya. If I was ever told to evacuate I wouldn't leave without my animals. The one time that I have felt need to take shelter during a tornado warning, I gathered all of the animals in my house and hunkered down in the basement. I was like 13 at the time; home alone and squished in a tiny bathroom with three cats and two dogs.
Well good night everyone, I wish I could stay up but have to get up early for jazz band. Last night I didn't sleep well becuase I kept waking up really quick and randomly. Halloweens only two days away, ya! If you think about it Halloween is a messed up holiday becuase it's like 20 diffrent holidays that all happened around the same time and they were all smooshed up into Halloween. Still fun though, good night everyone.
