Red butterfly?? OOOOOOh cannot wait to see pics!! I only ever seen yellow and blue butterfly bettas.
I just was downstairs in the library re-setting my wifi for my geriatric laptop and my wallpaper is a closeup clear pic of Ludendorff. The fellow who reset it (totally not trying to start conversation by flirting with me) mentioned how it looked professional and real like it was underwater (bc you can't see glass reflection) lol
Awkward. Doesn't help that I'm a total dirtbag today either.
Laki, thanks and congrats on the graduation letter. Yay! You did it! As for non-bitey, Delilah didn't get that memo. Drew quite a bit of blood this morning so I need to figure out how train her not to nip.
Tiki, inflamed gills tend to kind of stick out. The red will be super super read, like inflamed red. Normally the color of a gill should be the color of raw meat.
Get some gardening gloves and some craisens/raisins and let her come to you. She's probably still getting used to her new house with her new friends. Once she is used to your scent you can get comfortable with handling her. I would also wear something for a day that you don't want anymore (and old tshirt or scarf) and get your scent on it from wearing it all day then stick it in the cage. It will force her to come to terms with your scent. And they might chew it and make a bed with it!
Oh cool! Thanks for the tips, Laki. :) She got the tip of my finger this morning when I put it through the bars of the cage so I wonder if it may have been an eyesight thing? I read rats have really poor eyesight.
