Fishy, hahaha, well I'm sort of in touch with my rich Asian culture (about as much as an adopted girl can be). I'm guessing it's a combo of Asian pennypinching and just being plain cheap. Plenty o' caucasians have that problem too, haha. But gosh, I sure hope you can get things squared away and get the money you earned.
Bettas, if treating fin rot with AQ salt it could take a few weeks. The affected fin may fall off completely before it starts regrowing.
Olympia, yes, you can use metro to treat proactively.
Driving in snow is easy, stopping can be difficult unless you give yourself lots of time to stop. People around here seem to think two things in the snow; one that it is alright to drive a small car in it, and two that 4 wheel drive means a darn thing. I mean just because you have a SUV doesn't mean you can rip and race in the snow.
Also good morning, I couldn't sleep due to bad dreams! >.<
Yuuie, do the roads get slippery even without snow?? Here we get tonnes of black ice, people slamming into other cars like bumper cars because the ice is so thin and invisible. Foolish. I'm way too afraid to get my license here.
The Halifax rink "rents" out free skates. Which is probably why they nearly broke my ankles. Matt's skates were like, leather and brown they looked like early model skates! lol I was dying laughing.
They talk about building one in the oldest park here, but A-you have your protesters arguing over the trees that would be cut down. Those trees were planted in the 1860's when such-and-such was running for office and Joey Smallwood this-and-that.. And B- you have the park, which is small fill up with the hippies and skeets, especially at night, so paying security to watch over the construction and maintenance of such a rink would be costly.
I think the park planning committee has their heads up their butts. Downtown St. John's is WAY too small for an outdoor rink... As much as I want one
