I would for sure have a joint on both sides to open. With a tank that big, not having an easy way to get to both sides would get quite frustrating.

I'd love to as well. For some unknown reason I forget what the piece is called. Its on the glass canopys. Plastic flexible little piece.

Joint and hinge were the only things I came up with xD
I wonder if a little metal hinge would work fine?

That's the sort of details I leave to the handy person of the house.

I'd love to see if something like this http://www.walmart.com/ip/Bulldog-Ha...ickel/17474329 could be used. I'm sure I'd have to find some kind of rubber stopper to glue onto the end of the screw that sticks out of the material.

This could work too....http://www.walmart.com/ip/Utility-Hinges/17474021

Yea I was thinking metal hinges too. :p

This one loach has been pretending he's riding a ferris wheel for half an hour (swimming in circles) and he is making me dizzy.

I had a platy who did that. And one of my betta girls, too. I'd just stand there and watch her go up and over and around and up and over and around and up and over and around . . .
