What other fishys are interactive and not spooky?

My BFF is thinking about starting a 40 gal. She likes the Gouramis but they are so spooked in her mom's tank.

She told her she could get goldies. But she doesn't like the pudgy goldies. Oh well, more goldies for me!!!

Even though goldfish like groups, they're interactive with us because they've been domesticated for so darn long. That's why I can go as far as holding some of mine.

Honey gouramis can do a 10 gallon, but blues, pearls, moonlights, hit 5-6" and need good sized tanks.

hi all back from work was another slow day and must remember not to pay bills first thing in the morning i forgot a few things and now don't have the cash for them ack. oh well still one more check in the month and one wasn't even major just a impulse buy at the book store.

I'm totally gonna be turning mine into dog-fish xD
BTW, so I get their diet right. I was thinking blanched lettuce once or twice a week, frozen brine shrimp once or twice a week....the rest flakes or crisps.

Someone(dont remember who) said they could eat squash? How would that be prepared?
