Copper: EWWWWW. And to think some people take sips from their hoses . . .
I'm thinking she means that they will grow in just plain ol' untreated tap water...not that they are literally coming from the water hose...cause that would be just plain scary O.O
Oh, phew. That WOULD be like a horror movie. Haha, we could get together as an amateur film crew and make a horror movie only betta lovers would be afraid of. Tiny tanks, dirty water, fin rot, popeye, the horror, the horror!
Whoa...I usually have extra tanks and gravel and such stored up somewhere, this family has been keeping fish for so long it kinda piles up, that kinda lowers the start up cost to about 14 $ per fish...My limit does seem to be about two males and 4 females...any more than that and it starts getting a little crowded
Everything is much cheaper in the USA than Canada :) The cheapest tank I can find here over a 1g with lights and a filter is the 1.5g Tetra, which is $29. Then $14 for a heater, $14 for plant and $12 for a decoration. I have tons of rocks around the house, but I don't like using rocks in small tanks since I suction the filth out everyday :) Then add $7 for the Betta. I refuse to put mine in whatever they will fit in LOL I want nice tanks that look good. I'd rather spend more on great care and have 4, than have 12 in minimal care. Nothing against others who have that many!! And I also have a house full of critters and two kids who need my time and money too :) And bills.. urgh bills.
Lucky you at $14 per fish!
Jezzz Marina 2.65g is $68 and that doesn't include anything. 3g Kritter Keepers are about 3 with nothing as well.
yea...i have 8 bettas right now..I feel I am at my limit for sure.No more room for more tanks..haha...and it takes me long enough to clean out all the tanks I have now.
Over here in trinidad I would have to pay like $350.00 TT for a tetra or hagen 2.5gal pretty expensive down here..the currency rate is...$6.30 TTd to $1.00 USD...
