Did you ever see the movie by Steven Spielberg? It was Christian Bale's debut. Anyway, this is the book that movie is based on.



Empire of the Sun by J. G. Ballard. It's about a British boy separated from his parents during the Japanese invasion of Shanghai. He is put into a prisoner camp and the book recounts his time during the war. Supposedly, the book is a novel but based on Ballard's real life memories. It's a very gritty, graphic book but fascinating in its own way. The movie version is really good too.

hi all back from work was late forgot i started at 3 not 4 and other manager didn't call me until 3:30 so that blows. was late getting out to one of the guys needs more practice on his closing i think. but other then that it went ok

Well, they won't allow me to rent the textbook I want. It is much more inexpensive to rent it. The new one is 192.00 and it is a thin textbook too. I have to see if I can get it elsewhere for a lot cheaper.

Gotta scrounge me up some yummies. My stomach was growling all night.
