haha That was compiled in the 1970's and has undergone multiple revisions since. It contains unique passages and words which have been academically researched as originating in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Last fall they had their last meeting. I think they're revising it again. And they have their own offices in Memorial University.
You probably heard somewhere that Newfoundlanders talk different from any other group in Canada, well, widespread at least. And watching 22 Minutes, stand up by Shawn Majumder, Rick Mercer Report, Republic of Doyle... etc.. We do have some interesting phrases or speech and words.
