I couldn't sleep last night so I finally got up and thought I'd just sit in the bathroom with her cage open and hope she came out. I was in there putting food in the dish when I looked down and realized she was sitting by my foot nibbling on a towel like nothing was wrong. I picked her up and plopped her right back in that cage and she went nuts running on her wheel.
Most stressful 36 hours I've spent in a long time but so glad to have the little bugger back. She's now under permanent house arrest.
You know, probably a smart call that you came out at night.. Don't hammies find a burrow, fall asleep, then come out at night? Probably why she why silent at one point, she made her nest. :p Posted via Mobile Device
Yup, they sleep all day and they sleep really soundly too.
She seems none the worse for her adventure. And for the two pounds of drywall that she chewed. o.O I should have taken a picture of all the drywall she chewed and pushed out of the hole. It was very, very impressive.
The little culprit, just now. I put her cage on my bed and woke her up for a photo op.
