Sorry to bring up an old post haven't been on for a while. If your computer came with Vista on it already installed at the store then you might be able to run W7 on it. But you have to have someone who really knows computers to be able to look and see if it can handle it. I had my Brother-in-Law install it. Mine carried Vista when I bought it and he gave me W7. You sound comfortable with Vista and if you don't have a disc to put Vista back on if W7 doesn't work or you don't like it then I wouldn't mess with what feels comfy. It always takes time to get used to a new operating system. At least for me.

Anyone get the "download google extension pop up bar" come up constantly on google chrome? How do you get rid of that for good? It doesn't have a NEVER button, it only has a not now one and it keeps popping up every 5 min or less...

eta- nevermind, I figured out my own question, but I found out that this program was installed and I never installed it and it was "enabled" wth?? it is like my comp is downloading extensions on its own?!

I've never used weighted plastic plants. Always used the ones you weight down yourself. And of course the live plants. No risk of metal there!
