Riceball passed this afternoon, which is kind of a relief. He held on for a long time, the little trooper. He was so thin, like a folded piece of tissue paper.

Now that his cup isn't floating in the puffers' tank, I want to plant it. Before, since he was floating, I didn't want the tank light on since it would've been shining right in his poor eyes. Probably won't though, since plants are expensive.

SIP little Riceball! I'm sorry for your loss Sakura. It's always sad to see an animal go. I couldn't watch my dog go anymore. My family and I (more my family than I) decided to euthanize him rather than make him suffer any longer. I was a big crying mess before, during, and after. He was really going in the head, though, and was super skinny since he refused to eat. He tried to fit himself into a small plant bowl. A previously 60 lb dog trying to squeeze into a small plant bowl...then walk right into a screen door. Sometimes it's just best to let the animal go. This was like, two years ago now, though. Blah. Point is, I feel your pain.

ANYWAYS. I made it a rule of thumbs not to let any small animal crawl up my bear leg ever again. My turtle did it and peed down my leg once he reached my knee. NEVER. AGAIN.

and I too bubbles to get simple checheck up and heartworm test. Yeah, so didn't happen. $400 later...I ended up with heartworm medicine, minocycline and a dog with lyme disease, plus a comprehensice blood work exam.

last time it was oxytetracycline for some other tick diease

what is fin melt and how does on fix it?

I came back from vacation and tanagora's tail fin now looks melted together. I set him up in a bigger tank with the baby snails, heater and filter and he is now happily building a bubblenest. Sadly at some point during my vacation, the filter was unplugged and there went all the BB
