Shrimps are usually too finicky for me and take specific water types. I'd def be wary of any kind of shrimp, especially the expensive finicky types.

Apparently they're caridina baubalti (scuse spelling)
I found that the blueberry is of the same Sp. highly inlikely to interbreed with cherries

Olympia, it depends on how bad your tank is. Purigen is supposed to take out ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, silicates, and like a host of other things. In my 29gal, it lasted one week before it needed recharging but that tank has issues. The water is always yellow and I don't know why. In your goldy tank . . . who knows?

Seriously, does anyone know how much 3 5" dojo loaches, a 3" peppered loach, 1 stunted swordtail girl, and 5 congo tetras pee? I took out so many snails and yet the water is still yellow. I'd say there are maybe 30 snails left in there . . .

3$ each is not hefty!!!!! I paid 18$ for a pair. I had six when my shrimp tank crashed.

u sure u dont have somethin leeching tannins in the tank sakura? I'm pretty sure fish per is not yellow, LOL

I do have a piece of driftwood but it's been in there for almost a year and I just noticed the yellow water a month ago.

So my rat is sleeping in her litter box. *facepalm*
