I bought a few females when it was below freezing. I didn't even get to go home right away. I just turned the heat up in my car and kept it super warm. No cold fishies that night! :P

I brought Ludendorff home in a freak surprise winter storm last year.. I even had to walk home because the buses went off the road. He;s alive and kicking!

Jennifer!!! Yes, you can keep a rescued betta in a shallow rubbermaid. I kept a few in a 1.25gal Sterilite I got at Walmart. It was shallow but long and the length is what is best so they can swim back and forth.

I am officially crazy about shrimp. got some ghosts and Swish doesn't seem to mind them. I think all five are still accounted for but today the most i saw at once was four.


in other news, came home after a severely embarrassing breakdown at work. bad bad day.

You need a veggie clip, like this:



It'll sink to the bottom or you can suction cup it. Either way works. Better than a fork, haha. :)
