My lab is beyond help with her anxiety during storms. Thunder shirts are okay, but don't really help. She still lifts the bed when trying to get under it, and will literally knock you down the basement set of stairs. So we have to give her sedatives during a storm or someone will end up with a broken leg... :/

Thanks everyone. The uber sad part is her cage mate, Lady, seems to act like nothing ever happened. The cage reduction, and me crying while holding her should seem like something's wrong.....maybe she'll put 2 and 2 together when Korra doesn't return in a few days?

It might take more than just a night, but she might start looking for her. It always sucks to see that. :(

Aw, she will notice. GP's communicate so Lady will notice pretty quick. :( :(

My dog was beyond help too, which was a major determining factor in our ultimate decision to pts. But before his hearing was altered by age he was pretty scared of storms. When he reached 11 or 12 he stopped hearing fireworks and thunder so I was glad but other anxieties conflicted him. A melatonin, a valerian, a shot of rescue remedy and a tight shirt helped to temporarily calm him.

When our old dog was put to sleep when Zara was a puppy, Zara didn't even notice. And they were really close. :(

My grandpa has been talking about it, but she's fine otherwise. I don't see the point unless it's storming 24/7 and she's miserably anxious. She isn't, though. I've managed to talk my grandma out of it thankfully.
