So that terrible awful paper I complained about last night... We had a fire alarm right before her presentation!!! Imagine the odds. By the time we got back in and settled, we had about 10 minutes for her presentation and critique. I was looking forward to what the prof had to say publicly about this girl blantantly ripping off her work (like, total plagerism). Oh well.

While we were outside on the alarm, the girl who wrote the awful paper and I were talking and she was saying how she's such a good writer and takes pride in her work.. I was like "o-O Has nobody told you before that you need to see the writing center?!?" of course, I didn't say that....

I'm sleepy but need to stay up forever now. Paper due Friday morning. Need to start it.

My fish are taunting me I swear. They have started spawning every couple of days now but the female is eating whatever eggs she squeezes out.

In other news I think my younger brother and his boss are coming down today to finish the renovation on our house. I got so used to it just being me and my mum again. It was so peaceful and so tidy.

Bekah, no, don't get a new filter unless it literally isn't working. Just do a water change and monitor things. There may have been some organic matter (dead plants, leftover food) that caused the spike.

Laki, ohmigosh. -_____- Girl needs a serious reality check.

Lebron, I'll pop over to the thread.

LBF, what a totally nonmaternal female. And I feel for you about the guests coming. I just hope they don't use your loofah in the shower or borrow your sweatpants. But look on the bright side: house renovations!

Water changes on the garage tanks are done and I'm seriously beginning to think I need to commit mass molluscicide because I'll never get rid of all those leopard ramshorns. The pink pearls are fine, but the leopards are a pain.

Well my younger brother is better trained than my older one. He tends to at least make the effort of not leaving mess everywhere. Except for when he decided to use the drop saw in the lounge room and get sawdust in the carpet that took me about an hour of cleaning to get fully out.

Our house has been sitting half finished since my parents got divorced about 14 years ago. Now I may finally have a house that I would not be embarrassed to bring people back to.
