LBF, that's true, i forgot about them, but usually when people around here are talking about cichlid tanks, they are talking great big africans or south americans like jack dempseys or oscars. i'd love some rams someday.

Matt, I'd go with anchor worms because they're the only parasite I can think of that would wave around like that on the skin surface. AQ salt and high heat may treat those but if not, you may need to try a med like API General Cure or better, Seachem ParaGuard. Make sure it has praziquantel for sure in it.

Fishy, I don't know if I'd put any more cichlids in there but you might try some south american catfish for the bottom.

Hi Yuuie!

Only one of my girls has it right now but I am prepared to treat others. She's the most stressed girl in the sorority so that may be why. I will see if I can get to the lfs (they carry seachem products- a rarity in Canada) but for now aq salt, warm water, and ial are going to have to suffice. Thanks for all of the help! I am comfortable with treating a fish with a disease I can identify- I never like things I don't know about. She seems ok besides them. Acts normally.

I'm glad she's acting normally, that's always a good sign.

Yup. That makes me happy as well. Will garlic juice help before I get the meds?

I was thinkin more of 1 or two firemouths.

I may just stick with either platys, mollys or some chillax barbs or tetras.

tetras are good, as long as they aren't bullet shaped.

The skirt tetras I saw were pretty cute. But I'm looking to add color, not more of the same color I have xD
