The problem with tetras is a lot of them can be nippy. Diamond tetras may be okay but they aren't colorful, just pretty. Bleeding heart tetras may work, too.

Matt, garlic juice can help boost the immune system and add antioxidants and things, yes.

EDIT: If you get firemouths, try NOT to get a sexed pair. Breeding cichlids of any type can be come very aggressive, even mild-mannered firemouths.

Haha, don't ask me for advice. I am not a fan of tattoos.

Yuuie, I hope so. It's been winter in Saskatoon for long enough!

Discovering male rodents STINK. He loves his wheel though.

In other news, beginning training for the rats. Going to train them to come when I squeak a toy. From there, I hope to teach them other tricks. But I dunno. Dinah never sits still long enough and Delilah is so timid.

The trick to not getting regrettable tattoos is to choose something that symbolises something of great significance in your life.

For example, I have what some would consider a regrettable tattoo. It's a band logo. It seems like a dumb decision until you hear the reasoning: it's the first band I became a huge fangirl of, and the only "big" concert my mum and I were able to attend before she died, so that logo is full of fond memories of my mum and I in the first and last mosh pit we were in together. <3

If it means a lot to you, do it! If not, think about it for a few years, it's not like the opportunity to get it will be gone, and it will be there forever.
