not near warm enough yet. She's going to the vet to be sedated to be clipped. Long hair, gets unsightly mats in her neck, and can't keep her britches cleaned up. I'll let the professional do it. The groomers... well I've told Sakura at least the story.

It's downright warm here.

Fishy, we've got an outdoor kitty who has velcro for fur. He gets everything stuck in his fur and then matted up. I comb him as often as I can but wow. May be time to invest in clippers.

Our long haired cat's favourite trick was to go through grass and get these round sticky grass seeds or something stuck all through his fur (this was when he was an outside cat).

I used to have to sit there with a comb and scrape them all out and he would growl and hiss and protest the whole time.

None of the dogs like me to brush them because I brush too hard to get all the fur out. I hate how German Shepherds look when they are shedding with big clumps hanging off everywhere.

The only reasons this cat is outdoors is because A) technically he belongs to the neighbor and B) he sprays.

Ugh, I hate spraying in cats. Our oriental and Siamese used to spray everywhere. We are finally getting new carpets after about four years of it because we have all but stopped it with prozac. Don't know why it took our vet so long to recommend it.

Cat pee has to be the worst and most persistent smell ever. You can never get it out of your carpet.

We have one girl who still sprays on occasion, mostly out in the garage. We did try prozac and valium but it never worked with her. :( Just made her hungry and extremely grouchy.
