I always drain water from the tank for a salt dip so I can throw em in and it's identical (minus the salt).

Maybe the egg on the gate was an accident. :p

1 tsp per gallon, dip for 10 minutes. Leave them in the net and just submerge the net. They are safe to go back into the main tank afterwards. Signs of distress include heavy breathing and clamping but it could be from being in the net. They should be okay for only 10 minutes.

Okay....adding salt now. So once I don't see ANY salt, you'd say it would be safe to start dipping?

Yes. Stirring helps to dissolve it but dang, nothing dissolves slower than AQ salt.

I have Kosher salt. That should work just fine. Just double checking 1 teaspoon per gallon correct?

Mine dissolved pretty well. I'd use a siphon and just have the outflow stirring the salt. :p
