That's odd. Are you using real or fake plants?

Both
I have anacharis, salvina and duckweed in there. I'm thinking that maybe there was some waste that got buried in the sand. It was released when the sand was disturbed and thus I have what is happening.

But, if so, wouldn't all those changes/vacuums I did that 1 night clear up the issues? I'm just so freaking stumped on what is happening!

Is there any left over food/poop on the plants/by the plants?

Huh....Well, this reminds me that my fish are due for a water change anyways, lol.

haha
that's awesome. I've posted a thread for it, hoping to get some answers. I can tell my cycle has been destroyed, I'm just so stumped as to where this much ammonia is coming from. a single betta shouldn't be producing 1ppm ammonia in 24 hrs. Even before my tank was cycled, a single betta only created .25 ammonia in 1 week.

One of my otos died yesterday. Idk how though, his belly was full and I had just changed the water last week before I left for home.
I did a almost full water change, and finally got the baffle sponge inserted while I was at it.
I ran everything under really hot water, but I don't know what else to do. :/

I think he may have died because my heater is on its way out the door, when I went to change water yesterday the tank was at 71. It can barely keep the tank at 76 now. ):
Gotta go buy that new heater sooner than I thought!

Oh no sorry to hear Jen :(

Hadoken, Do you mean aquatic magic?? They're on ebay.

Fishy, maybe your water is the same as Tiki's? Ammonia or something in the taps.

Picked up my BA today :)
