Now that I know a few breeders, not sure if I'll ever get another pet store betta again. >.> Wish I had more room to rescue.

I got my Craigslist tank! 5 gallons, already divided. Unfortunately, there's not enough holes to allow for both sides to be heated and filtered evenly. The filtering part I'm not too worried on -- the heating a little bit more. But it's been really warm here lately and I haven't needed the heater for my 10 gallon for about a week now. I suppose if I grab another thermometer for the other side and keep an eye on the temperature it should be okay. Now for the fun part...BETTA SHOPPING!! :D

Yeah, I found that to be the biggest problem with divided tanks is heating without having to resort to two bulky heaters. For filtering, just hook sponge filters up to a gang valve and stick one in each section. Works great.

It's pretty much a piece of solid material, but I don't know what it's made from. If I had to venture a guess, I'd go with some kind of plastic.

Drill more holes! I would make them around 1/4 of an inch.

I can see about it, but I don't own a drill and I'm not about to run out and buy one. Maybe a friend has one I can borrow.

Ooh yeah, lined up my bus and train perfectly to get to the dentist. I love when public transport actually works like it should.

The best is when you get to your stop (and didn'n rush) and the bus is just pulling around the corner.
