I always spend more than I want to spec d ag the store. We've needed so much stuff since we have our house now. Cleaning supplies about killed me. We needed everything.

My fish will be the death of me.

I (stupidly) decided to clean out all the leaf litter and peat moss in two of my tanks so I could swap it over for aquasoil tomorrow.

Well first my male decides to jump out, falling about two metres to the floor and flopping around just out of reach. I managed to finally get him back in the tank, and apart from some carpet fluff he seems alright.

Then I can't find him after I have removed all the peat moss and leaf litter. I go to the bathroom where the colander is that I drain the water off through and what do you know he is in there. Lucky I didn't pour him down the sink!

LBF, your fish are aquatic lemmings. O.O

Oh, I've been meaning to ask you . . . what kind of peat moss do you use to spawn annual killies? Just . . . regular peat moss from a garden supply store?

I don't have annuals, but I use Canadian peat moss. I am a bit leery of peat moss from garden centres in case it has fertilisers in it.
