Do you mind if I list the possibilities? I made a couple.

1. Things go back to before, Diablo in 5, Pumpkin and fry in 10, release fry when big enough

2. Pumpkin in 5, Diablo in 10, release fry when they get too big for his mouth

3. Release fry Into 10 now, put Diablo in the Breeder

4. Release fry now, put Pumpkinin the breede

which do you think is best?

If you go with #3, 4, or 5, how long would the fish have to be kept in the breeder?

Until the fry get big enough to not be eat by either of them. I personally don't like those ones because that would be like a month......

I will, if I start cycling now, by the time i can sell the platies( they should be fully grown in 2 1/2 months) it will be nice and ready for the puffer. Heck, I can exchange the babies for a puffer

I'd have to go with #1. Keep the fry in the breeder for another week, then release them. Make lots of yarn mops to hang in the water (make sure if you use dyed yarn that it's color fast) so the fry have places to hide away from Pumpkin. When they're old enough (I'm guessing 2-4 months), you can sell them and keep the ones you want. By then, maybe you'll have the heater and filter and the 5g will be cycled. Keep 3 fry for a total of 4 platies in the tank. Then you can release Diablo in there. Make sure the fry are big enough that he can't bite them and kill them that way.

I'm sorry you can't get your puffer any sooner than that, Diablo. Waiting sucks.
