Flaring Question and more

My betta fish is flaring like crazy and he is biting at the glass. When he sees me it seems like he is trying to bite me.
And he is starting to stay at only one side of the fish tank, is that normal?

i think some betta's see their owners as an opponent sometimes XD depends on their nature and their 'personality'. he is probably seeing his own reflection in the glass, just keep a close eye on him to make sure he doesn't injure himself.
as to the tank I'm not entirely sure, my betta does it too XD, could possibly that they like how one side looks or offers protection or something.

I'm not entirely sure ^^ hopefully someone with more experience can help ^^

Is he new to his tank? any plants or hiding spots on just one side maybe?

How long have you had him in that tank, what kind of lights and how long are the light on, do you have a background on the tank, how big is the tank, how much and how often are the water changes, water temp, filter, live plants, additives used, appetite, tankmate, type of decorations in the tank and anything outside or near the tank that he may be responding to....can you post a pic......

The reasons can vary for the behavior he is displaying...and it can be normal to abnormal based on the answers to the questions.....

My betta flares in one particular corner, I've noticed. I think he must see his reflection there. I don't like it when it happens, so I've put a little box outside that corner to get rid of the reflection.

I don't think it's a good for him to be flaring so much. It seems like it would be stressing him too much, doesn't it?
