Interesting experience at Petsmart...

Today, my family and I went to petsmart to pick up some dog food. As usual, I went over to the fish tanks to take a look around. I stopped at the female guppy tank, and noticed quite a few were obviously pregnant, and looked like they were very close to their due date. I looked closer, and saw A BABY GUPPY.
It didn't even look a day old. So I ran to my sister to tell her. She is expecting her platies to have some fry very soon, so she was excited to see the fish birthing process. We ran back, with my parents in tow, and we all watched. In the time I had been gone, about 10 more fry had appeared!
I stood there for quite a while just watching the fry swim about, and watching more and more appear.
I just found the whole experience very interesting. :D

Hopefully the petsmart people take the babies out soon or the parents will eat the, but the experience must of been exciting!

That is neat! Back when my sister bred guppies, there was one time when I walked in the room really close to due-date, and no guppies. 30 minutes later, guppies everywhere. LOL. My sister had seen some guppies give live brith afew times, but I was always just late.

I once bought a pregnant guppy without my parents permission. LOL not only were they furious that I had gotten a fish when they told me no more, but they just about FLIPPED when they found a bunch of babies swimming in the tank the next morning. lolzz

Oh it's just amazing isn't it? When I was at Petsmart I got there just as one of their guppies had finished giving birth. The little fry were so tiny.

Ohmygosh. I loved it. It was amazing. Its making me impatient for the birth of my sis's platies.
My sister let one of the employees know, so I think they were gonna remove the females once she was finished. When I had to leave she still looked like she had a ways to go. I was trying to convince my parents to let me keep one of the babies, but being honest with myself, I really don't have the room. :( I may still try to convince my mom to let me get one when my dads not around (he was the one that squashed the idea :P) later on this week. I WILL MAKE THE ROOM!.

They were soooo tiny! And adorable. ARGH I WANT ONE! LOL.

DQ, move to a farm if you want to see that. Haha I've seen sheep, cows, dogs, and cats. LOL

I almost got to see a neighbor's cat have kittens when I was about 13 but they were afraid the mother cat would be too upset by having a lot of people around.
