Brown/Green stuff everywhere in tank. :(

I went away for 5 weeks and my mom took care of my fish for me.. She kept up with the water changes so I don't understand what this is? There is brown and green stuff on the inside of every part of the tank.. the white rocks are now green the insides of the glass are green, the filter is green.. I have no clue how it happened and she tried cleaning it off but it kept coming back.. It's a cycled 5.5 divided with two males and I've had it set up since March 10th 2011. It has 1 java fern and 1 huge marimo ball..

Can someone tell me how to get rid of it?

Oh sorry, I didn't think of that. I just got in an hour ago from an eight hour drive from my university. I'll put some up tomorrow.

It's likely just algae, it happens in tanks, you just clean it off of things each waterchange.

Most likely algae. I get it when I leave the lights on too long during the day for a while. If you leave the lights off and keep most light out of the tank for several days, it should correct itself. Oh, and don't worry about the plants, it takes more than 3-4 days for them to be affected. I just had to do this in my divided 10 gallon cuz I was leaving the lights on too long :)

If its algae, wipe it off as best you can and up the water changes a little more (without damaging a cycle, if it is).
