Unhappy What is this white spot?

Cleo seems to have a white spot on her head, I noticed it at feeding time this evening. It wasn't there in the morning. It doesn't seem to be fuzzy or cottony in anyway, rather shiny and I can't see it at every angle. Its also a bit raised. She is acting fine and is active and eating. Does this look like something I should worry about (more...?)

It is nowhere else on her body.. And you can't see it on this angle..

Since she is otherwise acting and eating her normal self...I wouldn't worry and just watch the area for changes and/or changes in her behavior.....

Keep us posted.....

If it gets thicker and spreads and she seems less active and ill you should put Aq. salt in 1 tsp per gallon. But if she is okay just watch the spot. :D
There was also this jungle something that you could use....
to me it sounds like fungus or mold..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columnaris
Look at that too.
If it is that get treatment ASAP.

Zen had a spot like that when he bonked his head in a state of panic.. when he was in my work tank, someone had dropped their injured cory in with him and its thrashing set him zipping into the shrimp's cave (which was way too small for a 3-inch betta AND a 2-inch shrimp to hide). i think it was a dislocated scale or two that ended up either falling off or mending itself over time.

Ack! OK, if it grows I'll do that. Btw is aquarium salt different from rock salt? I use rock salt in my tanks usually. I don't think the jungle thing is available in my country.. Is there a generic version or can you tell me the ingredients so I could use that? I have methylene blue, would that help? Also she's in a divided tank- should I remove her? Or wait?

Aq. salt is different.... I think
I found out that it might be Columnaris. http://www.bettafish.com/showthread....608#post700608
Look at meh thread for it.
I think it might be partly that.
Missing scales are not usually white and fuzzy. SO it could be that.
I think the divided tank is fine until it seems you need treatment.
That is all I can tell you. I will research more for your fish :D
