Okay, so I did a 50% water change, and as you said, turned the light off afterwards. I also found out that my filter's water flow was too strong and pushed my betta around, causing it to get tired and stressed a lot easier. So what I did may be silly, but it worked. I hot-glued(non-toxic) a shell to a suction cup and placed it in front of the filter's outflow, as to break it up. Now my fish is still cautious, but it is swimming around a bit more. I guess she needs time to adjust(:
