My Cheering-Up Betta

Well, I've been quite down in the dumps lately. I am getting surgery in July, and until then I am left in a lot of pain. I can't go to school, can't leave the house much, unless I use a wheelchair and get extremely tired in that process. End of school projects are also getting to me, I've been having a lot of computer problems so I'm getting close to the deadline and still haven't finished (stupid printer!).

ANYWAY, my grandma gave me and my sister each $10.00. Me, being the terrible saver I am, got my mom to take me to the awesome pet store thats half an hour away, to cheer me up.

I came home with a new little guy, and a new tank to divide, for him and Spazz.
He doesn't have a name yet, but its going to have something to do with his mustache. Might be "Captain 'Stache" or just "'Stache".

See his little mustache?! Thats why I picked him.

He's a little more blue in some spots, but that picture above shows his color pretty well.
He was labeled as a halfmoon, but I think he may just be a delta. :P
He has certainly cheered me up! The whole ride home, I held his bag, and he stared at me the entire time. If I looked away, he would start bashing himself against the sides of the bag, as soon as I looked again, he stopped and stared at me. <3

giggles... I like Schnurrbart
And yes I would be able to resist him either
It is amazing how animals help us feel better. It's like they know their job is to care for us in any small way they can..
I will keep yoiu in my thoughts and prayers for your July surgery. Would you be able to post in the chat section closer to the date. Then we can all send you good swimmy thoughts

Thanks Guys, he has really cheered me up. Today I was crying, and he and Spazz swam up to the class, flaring and staring and wizzing around the tank, trying to cheer me up. :P

I like Schnurrbart, but I`d probably have trouble remembering it :P
I will definitely post in the chat section. Hopefully I will have some access to the internet while I`m in the hospital.
I will be at the hospital for four days, and then I will be in a rehabilitation hospital for 2-4 weeks getting physio, learning new limits etc. I`m getting a hip replacement, where they replace the femural head, part of the shaft and socket. Apparently though, I should feel immediate pain relief, so I`m really looking forward to it.
I`m gonna miss my fishies. :( I`m hoping that I may be able to bring one with me, because its a childrens rehab center (I`m 16), so they may be a little more open to things like this. XD But my little sister is gonna take care of them, and since she has her own, and is starting to breed platies, I think I can trust her with them :P

aww! I love his face and can totally see him using some pickup body gestures to get some girls :P I bought a marble crowntail the other day that looked like a drag queen, but your new boy blow him out of the water! >,< just to cute with that little white head!

I'm glad that he's able to cheer you up! We hope you feel better soon!
