New crowntail - new tank styles!

I'm so flipping flipping out right now!
I went to walmart to get bamboo for the aquariums (pretty sure I went there for things like milk and uh..yeah not too important anymore)
when I saw this guy in the betta isle. Walmart..you suck in betta keeping - but STOP HAVING SUCH A GOOD SELECTION. lol
I fell in love with this boy and there was no way I was leaving him! He was even being talked about in the check-out line. The ''Very pretty!'' ''Oo!'' and ''ahs'' were shooting his way. :)

I picked him up, bamboo, and a new tank for them today. (New 2.5g set for bettas I split for my crowntails.)
I also picked up some black sand like bottom for my tanks at petsmart (cant think of the name)

I made the checker-outer person happy.. I walked out without paying for my aquarium thermometer (its so thin I forgot it was in the basket!) and went back in, through the starting rain, to give her the 2.86$ for it. lol! She was like ''Thanks for coming back in. Most people wouldnt!''

Anywho..here's pics!
Need to fix up a name for him.

He's currently stressed out sitting on the bottom of the tank. I really hope he pulls through - I'm already attached to him!

Need to go re-do my other 2 male tanks with this new stuff..so I'll post more pics later on!

LOL
The angel on one shoulder was saying ''It's the honest thing to do, Mandy.''
Then the devil on my other shoulder was saying ''They dont take care of the fish - dont support it!''

Nice looking crowntail, I always have a soft spot for them. I'd probably have gone back and paid for the thermometer as well. They keep undercharging me at my LFS, and even though I haven't figured out if it's a deliberate discount (I go there a lot), I figure it's bad karma if I don't at least let them know about their stuff-up.

Also, just as a side note, if that is live bamboo it can't be submerged like that. You have to have the leaves breaking the surface, otherwise it will eventually start to rot and foul your water.

This picture was before I realized I had the leaves under the water - it's been fixed.

No worries Just thought I'd mention it in case you weren't aware. Nothing worse than getting your plant in nicely and it suddenly keels over.

D'awwwww. He's adorable. I LOVE his colors. I don't usually like crowntails, but he's beautiful!
