so Ive been away.....

SO i went away for 3 days to house sit my dads place. got there and my horse was pretty sick. my dads land lords put down cattle feed that contains Menosin (? spelling) its fatal to horses and they put it down with no thought to the horses. now my colts 3yrs and he lost a little condition but wouldnt have been able to get much due to piggy guts.
Taj is 26. at this age his hearts already working over time. then i get there hes lost 150-200 kilo and i automatically wormed him and started hard feeding him.
the vet came out a few days later confirmed the posion, and also taj had blood in his lungs (promptly proved it by snorting it over me) and an elevated heart rate and his stomach and liver wasnt working right, it wasnt getting the protein out of the feed, hence the weight drop. no almost 2 weeks later hes looking better happier but prob wont be able to do much riding after hes recovered as his hearts had too much stress on it.

also being winter here hes not rugged due to the property (theres a lot of places he can get tangled and hooked up in) so i was there for almost 2 weeks and he was rugged all the time. while im not there ive organised a neighbour to hard feed him :)

soooooo wats i missed?

I'm sorry about your horses! I hope they're on the road to recovery now.
