IMO, once you've taken her out, it's best to recondition. Often males can get very mean when you do this.... and your male male sounds .... mean as it is. But I could be wrong.....

Oh ok. I might try and breed a dif pair ( crowntail) my new female was spouse to be here today hopefully the mail did not lose her

I agree with indjo. Also if you are going to breed a different pair
(the female that is coming in the mail) i suggest conditioning the female before breeding her. Also i would let her get settled in before trying to breed her on the same day.

Good. I learned all about bettas by reading about breeding. I just find bettas to be the most interesting species of fish.
