Never stop medications early. You can combine salt with those fizz tabs. Just on't go over 1tsp/gal Aquarium Salt. You can start after your next 100% water change. Make sure you dissolve the salt in dechlorinated water before adding it to his water.

I agree, once you start the OTC antibiotic you need to complete the course per the package direction so you don't cause more harm than good.....

Once the antibiotics are completed I would recommend that you give the fish a rest before you start another treatment...over treating can be as bad as no treatment and/or wrong treatment in some cases.....

The fish can become toxic and pathogen become resistant.....

List all the symptoms your fish is having......currently......

I couldn't tell much by the pic...but I think it is from my old computer and the way the pic show up......they are too dark for me to see......

Hey guys, well another update, I tried giving him the frozen brine shrimp, but it just sank to the bottom and he ignored it, is there any way to fix this?

And as for symptoms, his fins are ragged and tore, he stays near the top of the tank and moves very slowly until someone comes into view, then he darts around to see what's up, or when he does eat, he goes crazy, thanks

Also, do you think I should wait a week after this medicine ends before adding the aquarium salt?

He might be like my fish, hates brine shrimp.
I think you can put aq. salt and medicine together... aq. salt helps improve disease recovery and the medicine will help get rid of the fin rot bacteria...

If they are frozen (not freeze dried) then you can give him 2-4 depending on when he ate last and what size the worms are (there are 2 sizes...). If they are freeze-dried then don't give more than 1-2...

Is there any regrowth (white/clear tips)? If there is any regrowth then you won't need salt. Just continue performing 100% daily water changes...
