I went by the aquarium specialist store earlier today to see their Bettas I saw an add for. The store was pretty awesome, They do custom aquariums/aquarium maintenance and had some awesome tanks. The bettas were also from a local breeder who I was told also show's. He had some beautiful fish, although I wonder if these are the ones who didn't sell lol I still love the guy I bought though, I called up the owner of the store and he's going to see if the breeder is ok with getting in contact with me so I can look at his HM females since I've been on a scavenger hunt trying to find local HM females I like (I haven't found any at all)

He has some minor fin rot, I sent an email to the store owner so he knows and can hopefully catch it if any of the others get finrot.

Is it just me or does this guy have a big caudal fin? Is this a good trait or one a bad one that?
He's also more blue in person

I talked to the breeder and he is going to take pics of some of his available female HM's and I might buy a few. He said he has platinum dragons, blue dragons, platinum dragons with some blue on them, and blue females. He'll also send me some photo's of his males although I don't really have any room for males now, but it's always fun to look. He should email me the photo's tomorrow :D

How many bettas do you have now? 11? LOL I always see you posting about getting a new betta, it makes me jealous! :P

I have 13 now, 6 are girls. Since 5 of the fry I got turned out to be female I suddenly had a bunch of room and I want to breed a pair this summer, but not the black coppers because they are still small, so I've been buying Bettas that I really love an aspect of and would want to breed. It just happened that Petco had males that I loved in a short amount of time lol I'm hoping that a good quality female can bring out the better quality's of my males.

my limit is that I can't get any new aquariums since I already have four (48g, 15g, 2.5, 10g)

he was holding kinda still so I was able to take a photo without flash more true to what he looks like. The light in that tank is a little yellowish so the yellow in his fins are a little less saturated in person. the flash makes him look to teal/green

i love shiny bettas, the ones that have a really metallic sheen are lovely, especially when they twist and turn :)

He's gorgeous! I adore this guy. I can't wait to see him once the fin rot has healed a bit.
