Sick little boy...

My betta has been constantly sleeping/resting near the bottom of the tank. Sometimes it looks like he is dead as he rests on his side. He had recently marbled a few months back from a lavender purple to a muted magenta. Now the Magenta that was brighter in his fins have greyed tremendously.

Not only that but he has what one member here refer to as a Cyst on the top of his head. I had just checked him recently and he look like he took a huge chunk out of his anal fin. I had been battling fin rot with him for months..well since I got him in October of last year.

I'm at a complete lost as to what to do about his numerous problems that he has.

I recently turned up the flow of his filter as a white milky substance has taken over the top portion of his tank. I forgot the name of it but I heard that it can take the oxygen out of the tank water so that is the reason for me turning the flow of his filter up and plus adding a airstone that I occasionally turn on for a few minutes. I don't know if either one of those issues are there reason that he rest a lot but he was doing it before I made either of those changes.

To add to all of that I think he might be going blind as he doesn't respond to me coming to his tank anymore or feeding him. I use to practically drop the food in his mouth as he knew all the ques when it came down to eating. Now I can drop the food down in his tank and it seems like he doesn't even know it is literally right beside his mouth. He is constantly bumping into things in his tank and it is literally breaking my heart to see my first betta literally falling to pieces on me.

Please help!!!
