I took my normal, almost DAILY, trip to the pet store today, and figured out that their betta shipment had been postponed till Monday because the manager was out of town for the week, bummer.
Anyway, I went over to the fish, like I always do to look at them, and sometimes complain if they arn't in top shape, of course, my neighbor owns the store, so I can get through to the manager fairly quickly

I went over to the feeder fish tank, and one poor soul stuck out to me. He was swimming frantically back and forth, I felt terrible for the poor guy, then I realized, he was missing an eye...
I instantly bought him, and took him home. He now resides in a temporary 5+ gallon tank until he gets rid of this fungus looking growth on his fins.
I named him Hobble, because he is blind, and he almost swims stronger on the side he can see, so he kinda swims sideways haha.
The whole way home when he was in the bag and freaking out, I kept telling him 'It's alright, fish are friends, not food' -Dory
We got him home, and he is a character! Not to mention super fun to watch! My fellow aquatic specialist at Petsmart, Ashley, told me she would pay the whole 27 cents for him, because she was touched that I was rescuing the fella'. But, I whipped out a quarter and a nickle...and brought the little guy home. Alright, enough with the 'blah blah story' here are some pictures!
Sorry they arn't the best, It is hard to get a good picture of this wild man!
I also made a quote for my dear Hobble.
*Sometimes, imperfection can save your life...*
I wrote it only because, this is why he stood out to me, and why I saved him...and I think we should all think about the quote, and inspire us, like Hobble has inspired me <3
