He has had this before and I just held onto hope and fasted him a few days because I had aquarium salt, but not Epsom salt. He was better by the next morning, but I picked some up in case it happened again and it has. Should I just wait again since the Epsom salt baths can be stressful to them or would it be better to just give it a try at least once? I know it's just some type of constipation, but doesn't seem like anything else is wrong. Happy and healthy otherwise.

I'm currently using Epsom salt for my betta with Swim Bladder Disorder. It's the first day though, so can't say if it works or not. I've heard some good things about it curing fish though, good luck!

Thank you! Good luck to you too! I hope it works!

I'm just scared I'll mess it up somehow. With the measurement of the salt and stuff, haha. So I don't want to risk anything yet if it might go away. Argh!

Haha, I know how you feel! I debated for a day whether to use Epsom salt or not because I was scared something would go wrong, but you may as well try it or the constipation may get worse and become permanent.

Exactly, ha! Decisions, decisions. Better to try it though in case it would help, I suppose! I think I'll try it!

One quick, silly question: Do you put it into fresh, treated water or just the tank water poured into a separate container?

I put mine in fresh water because I thought it would be cleaner and help the treatment, but I guess it's up to you. If the tank water's clean I don't see how it would make a difference.

Ah, thanks! I was going to use fresh water but I changed his water today so I thought I might cheat and just use it.

Note to self: No time to be lazy! I'll use fresh water. Ha! Thanks again!
