I agree with Pitluvs except I like to breed betta store betta once and a while, sometimes I see a weird color or fins I want to try to duplicate. I think it determines on what your goals are from your spawns.

Not everyone can resist that gorgeous pet store betta with the perfect fins/scales/odd color lol I wish I could breed my Venom just because I'd love to own his son :)
