Jumped Divider - Need help

Guys I just woke up and went to feed the fish when I saw Li (My multi-colored crowntail) looked HORRIBLE.
His fins are an absolute mess.
Well then I saw Kumo (my black c/t) on the other side of HIS SIDE.
It seems like Kumo beat the you know what out of him and Li just took it. Kumo has close to nothing wrong with him.

Li was in the upper corner and he seems to be getting air and everything fine.
I put them in betta cups and need to know what I need to put in the water?
I never thought they would even try to jump that high over the divider as they couldn't see each other.. (black divider)

I feel horrible.
I was leaving to go work out so I think I'm going to just leave them in the cups until I can get back and lower the water in the tank. (Gonna wait to see what you guys say though)

Oh - he does seem to be breathing hard right now..

Put so AQ saly 1 tsp/gallon that should stop infection. Keep his water warm. WArm water=faster fin growth.

I did add aquarium salt when I put them in the cups (that's why I put them in the cups..forgot to say that)
I'm going to be floating them in the tank as it stays 74-80'F with the heater.

You probably should reduce that fluctuation if you can

Doesn't really fluctuate unless we're having a really cold night out. If I stick another heater in I'm afraid it's going to warm it up too bad.

ack, this is what happened to my CT. he jumped over to the plakat side and got totally ripped up. it took my ct months to recover the finnage... and still is. like what fishman12 says, AQ salt will help. make sure you do water change everyday if you have him in a cup.
feeding high protein food will help him regrow faster. if you can, try to find some frozen bloodworms and such to feed him. petsmart i know will sell them. goodluck!

I do water changes everyday anyway - they don't have a filter in the 2.5g. lol
I feel so bad for him. He must be ticked.

I had plans to pair him with a female in a few weeks. Looks like I'll have to hold off on that for a while.
I have freeze dried bloodworms but I don't think I'm interested in trying that unless I soak them first (something about them expanding in the stomach?)

He's also not eating today - I wouldn't either after that.. well see how he does on bloodworms this weekend. (Next time I can get to petsmart) I finally found their live food fridge area and I'm excited to see what they carry. (never looked..I was rushed) For now he's on pellets and some color enhancing flakes I give them sometimes.

hes not eating? does he act any different? it could be hes stressed from being cupped or ripped up.. my CT always freaked when i cupped him for tank cleaning..
