The boyfriend and I just bought a new little family member last night! I'm so excited. I always wanted a hamster but mom would never let me have one because she claims they are dirty and stink... Guess she never heard of cleaning a cage..
Anywho! Since my boyfriend's mom thinks hamsters are cute and said we could keep it at her place, we went out and bought a little beige female! She was the only one that would let me pick her up and cradle her in my hands. She is absolutely adorable, I love her already. We named her pickle. My boyfriend suggested the name and it just seemed so suiting for her that it stuck.
We bought her a one floor cage that has a little balcony, a water bottle, food dish, the wood shavings for the bottom, bedding, chew sticks, treats, hamster food, a big ball that she can run around in and a little hamster sized litter box.
We bought a cage where you can connect onto it and add different tubes and more parts, so I can't wait til I can buy some tubes etc to start building onto it. We're also going to buy a hamster playpen so she can have more room to run around when we take her out of her cage. :)
