hey guys, SAME EXACT THING happened with the fish i bought the 29th. he wouldnt eat. but yesterday i noticed he chased around an ant that was crawling across his tank. try getting a bloodworm and wiggling it around. it'll make him think that its live and maybe he'll go for it. i did that with mine who hadnt eaten in days and he gobbled it up :D

That is funny because i just replied to your thread today. he is eating now but will only eat flakes, he gets all excited when i drop them. and the ant story made me literally laugh out loud when i read it. im going to try blood worms again though on wednesday.that is sorta their wednesday treat and then they fast on thursday. I have so many bettas and so much food that i want to make sure im using everything. though between now 8 bettas (i scummed to the petsmart dragons >.< ) i think i wont have a problem with food going to waste. Thanks for all the help though everyone!

UPDATE:

Ghost just ate some itty bitty live brine shrimp! Hooray for sea monkeys! The ramen noodles of the fish food industry!!

He's chasing them around and having a blast gobbling them up! AND he's NOT spitting them out!

So I guess my "betta psychology" technique of giving him "baby food" worked! I suggest if you're still having trouble to pick up some of those eggs and start hatching them ASAP! Even my other betta, Thor, couldn't resist. He was watching Ghost and getting all excited that something delicious was floating in his tank, so I had to give some to him as well. Both fish are happy and excited to be chasing the little critters.

Thanks everyone for your support over these last 3 weeks. It's so nice to see Ghost gobbling away, content and excited.

Best of luck to the rest of you!
