Thumbs up Petco surprise

I went to Petco today after work to see what they had different than Petsmart (and because the Pet-o-Rama closed down not to far away). I was pleasantly surprised by what I found in the way of fish. All the bettas were in larger bowl-like cups - the water was clean - the bettas were clearly marked and looked healthy. They had a pretty good selection as well! Lots of them.
I took a picture of this beauty that I really had to force myself to leave there (don't have room for anymore right now!) But I thought I'd share what I saw, plus that beautifully colored betta I saw (is it a delta?! I forgot!)

They had a pretty good selection of accessories too - but not the heater and filter I was looking for for my 2.5 gal tanks so I'll have to go back to Petsmart!. I love that they had silk plants and plants labeled "betta plants" - very soft and safe for their fins :)

Ugh! Just looking at that picture makes me want to go right back to Petco and get that fish!

It was! In fact its harder now that I'm looking at that picture again. I am just not sure I can afford a 4th fish now. I'm expecting the fish in my avatar tomorrow. But that rainbow beauty makes me want to do a 4th fish!

That's EXACTLY how my petco looks, down to the shelves. My petco is emptier though...I'm hoping they're going to get a new shipment soon so I can get my chocolate...

Ha, I went up to Petco to get a Kritter Keeper for my male {I'm giving my female his 2gal and once they spawn...well, he needs something! lol} and they had a beautiful halfmoon I wanted desperately. Shimmery blue green color with a white border on all his fins, beautiful. But I have no space for one and I promised my bf no more unless I find an orange... >.> lol. I already have 3, plus trying to spawn those....I need to stay away from Petco.... >.<

That's really nice of Petco to give them that much room! Last time I went to petco (a while ago, I'll admit) they still had the bettas put in those small cups on a single shelf. I'll have to get to petco some time soon and check it out. I've been really craving going on a betta-search since I got Mr. Pink.

So I'll repeat my previous question:
Who wants to drive me to Petco tomorrow before work? :P

How does the water not pour out of the cups that are sideways? j/k

That looks really good and clean.

I like that they aren't putting that stupid dye in the water too.
Isnt that dye like... supposedly some anti-bacterial crap? Even though it doesn't help at all since they keep them in small cups?

I don't know what it is, but I like mine too because they aren't hiding their fishes colors, they let you clearly see them.
