The drop was about 4 feet... I can't believe the fish survived. Everbody is swimming happily this morning though!

Crazy bettas, always getting into trouble.

I have never met a betta that doesn't love to jump and scare me! I use my one hand as a "shield" now when i'm feeding my guys.haha

That happened to me before! :O

I was changing my first Betta, Pavarotti's water, and I had put him into a little cup to hold him for a minute while cleaning his tank out, and before I got the lid on the cover, he jumped up! All in like, four seconds. I was stunned at his speed. :P

LOL, almost the exact same thing happened to me...

I bought a new betta, and I was acclimatizing him. Eventually, I decided that I should take him out of the bag and into the tank, so I picked the bag out of the tank, and put it on my shelf while I went to find a net.

Then, I herd a splash, and sure enough, the bag had fallen off the shelf!!!! Thankfully, my betta Muffin fell into my laundry basket, which probably saved him!! I screamed and panicked, because I hate doing things like picking them up, but there was no one in the house.

Eventually, I scooped the betta up in a pile of clothes and dropped everything into the tank!!

LOL. That's hilarious xD I don't mind picking up betas with my hands, but I'm afraid of dropping them in the few occasions I had...But you aren't supposed to pick them up because we are warm blooded and they are cold blooded, so I only use my hands in emergencies where there isn't a net around ;)

I don't like picking them up because they're so tiny! I get scared I'll crush them or something lol!

I once had a new female jump right into a hot bowl of macaroni and cheese. She was covered fin to head in cheese and breadcrumbs but she got her name right then and there: Mac. She was okay, thank goodness. XD

Oh my goodness! The Mac N' Cheese story! Poor fish, I'm glad she was okay.

I too don't like picking them up with my hands which is why I had to scream for my mother. I'm afraid of damaging them...
