girl betta and male CT?

I want some female bettas, can a male betta live with a few females? will he get aggressive or should I keep then seperate?

Ive heard no. males stay separate from any other betta unless they are breeding.

just get a bunch of females :) i love my girlys!!!! they are so fun to watch, i have 5 in a 10 gal but i wish i had a bigger tank so i could get more i love them they are so fun!

Although some professionals do keep males and females together, I do not recommend it!!! At all. There is a very high amount of risk..

Do not put them together. Do not ever.

No offense meant, but it does not appear that youre experienced enough to keep these two sexes of fish together- they are, as Doggyhog said, VERY hard and risky to keep together.

I also dont really recommend keeping a sorority (females together) unless you're prepared and willing to bring them back or get them all separate homes in case the sorority fails- which they often do.

The answer is no, don't do it. If you have enough space you can always put in a divider and keep the male in the same tank, just off by himself. I know they are so beautiful, but they are just not community fish.

You should have at least two and in no less than 10 gallons.
