Honestly, though, there are good reasons to not get a second one right away. You don't know what kind of set-up you're going to want until you have "played" with one. You could decide that you want to go with live plants, or that you want to be able to add some snails. You would want slightly different set-ups in each case than if you want it to be just a betta in the tank.
SO true, great point! My friends think I'm crazy, a grown woman with 3 kids swooning over a fish, so I have kind of fallen back on the excuse that the fish and tanks make good decorations. They understand that a little better.
But it's partly true, I blew all day today Googling tanks and setups. And aquascaping, which I have never heard of before today. AMAZING stuff out there!
