Hood and Light for a 10g

So I've been following the forum trying to learn without asking more about lighting and live plants but I have to because I'm still confused.

For a 10g what kind of lighting should I be looking at? I've seen the double tube lights I've seen a variance of watts and 65k to 80k and a lot of other basics that I do not know about. I plan to start with the basic plant list, anubis, java moss and fern, anacharis, etc... So any help as to which brands, hoods, etc... that have been used by some of the folks with more years of tank experience would be helpful.

For light bulbs for live plants in a 10gal...you want 6500k 20w...1 or 2 bulbs will work fine for low to mod light need plants....

Thank you for the confirmation I guess when you don't have experience someone to give you a nod is all you need before you go purchasing something new.
