Third times a charm?

So we got a new boy tonight at the local pet store. I didn't get the solid lavender VT that I liked. I didn't get the multi pink/orange VT I liked either. I went to our Pets Unlimited to get our Ich treatment. There were about 30 blue/red/black VT's there, all the same. Then there was one... and I had to take him home.

We went to WalMart and picked up a new tank, new silk plants, new sponge bob hiding cave, new net and some decorative stones. We went back to PU and bought our boy, new water conditioner and new food. $100 later... he's here.

I have no pictures of him right now as he's still in the cup :( I have to leave him overnight as our city did a water main flush while we were out and our water is brown now. Should settle by the morning.

Anyways, he's a Violet/White marble VT. He's so cute. He has one solid purple spot on his fin, and a few patches here and there. I'll take pictures as soon as he's in his tank. Please wish me good luck, I've lost two so far so I am changing everything I have and hope this guy lasts more than a week here!

I lost Carnage today, he passed in my hand :( He was never normal since the trip on the bus to me.

Carnage was always loved, his breeder took good care of him. The travel to my home is what did him in, he was soo banged up and stressed that he couldn't handle one day of ich :(

Will post as soon as I can. Our cups are not clear like everyones on here, they have ripples! He staring a hole through me though, and when I look at him he looks away like he wasn't LOL

I'm so happy you've decided to give bettas another chance even after losing both your boys... I hope having this little guy is very rewarding for you! Good luck with him! I would love to see photos once he's settled :)

Thank you Fighter :) I don't want to give up although it hurts to think I'll keep loosing them. I am hoping with everything changed here, I'll knock out whatever it is that wasn't working. Hubby was upset over loosing a $80 Betta, so he let me go out and pay $100 for this guy and his stuff lol I am praying this time it's better!

I'm so sorry you lost Carnage and Venom!
What a beautiful butterfly boy though, I'm sure he'll be okay. :)
