I had a weird feeling to check on Carnage this afternoon, he's been battling ich for a a few days. I found him falling backwards everytime he would try to swim upwards. He's never been right since I got him after the trip on the bus from Quebec.
Rest Peacefully Baby, you knew a good home and passed away in my hand. Love you.
And with that, I'm betta-less. I am not sure I'll continue.
Oh, I'm so sorry about your betta! It wasn't your fault, sometimes stressful experiences (bus rides for fish can be stressful) just knock them outta whack, and they're never the same. I lost 2 bettas to ich last year, I didn't even know what the disease was until after I lost them. I'm very sorry about your little baby. But sometimes that one last push can do it. I tried just one more time with my little CT betta last year, and I now have 4 beautiful and gorgeous fish. I have successfully treated fin rot, ich, and tail biting, and just awful filthy pet store living conditions.
Thanks everyone... I always have it rough when starting something for the first time. My tropical tanks were hellish, I lost 2 danios from the pet store (they were off) and I lost my 4" pleco :( Now with the Betta.. I lost my two boys. *sigh*
I was prepared, I had everything here lol I did research before taking them home as well. I just got hit with every road block possible. I'm just going to leave this guy in his tank and change him when needed, no fussing and schedules. I find the more you try to do things right, the worst it ends up. Time to relax.
I'm so sorry to hear about this second loss so soon. But you did all you can and it looks like you're not giving in! That in and of itself is a plus- because now more fish will have a loving home in the future and the best chances at the longest and happier/loved lives.
