Question "Riverwood" ??

I saw "logs" in the reptile area at petsmart labeled riverwood, and I was wondering if it could be used in a fish tank. I've bought some of the "driftwood" looking branches used for reptile basking and they changed the water color but doesn't after it is soaked. But has anyone tried this or what do you think?

I've asked the same question in one of the LPS. Person working there did not recommend it. I think he said (if I remember well) it's not as lasting as manzanita wood for example.

It is usually a good rule of thumb to not use anything in your tank suggested for use with reptiles :)

There's Mopani Wood from ZooMed for terrariums as well as aquariums, so I dodn't know about this kind of wood.
