Rescues?

I'm new to bettas, and considering rescuing a lovely HM male from the local petco. Amny suggestions for bringing them back to full health?

Do you have a tank or something to put him him? That would be what I would get first...It doesn't have to be fancy..I have a few 3 gallon critter keepers that work awesome as betta homes. You will also need a heater, bettas are tropical fish and like warm water 77-80 degrees. A good quality food high in protein will help him heal up nicely...I would also pick up a container of aquarium salt just in case he may have finrot from being in his bettacup. Also water conditioner if you dont have any yet. I like prime and stress coat. I use stress coat when my fish are ill..It has aloe and other good stuff in it.

You're welcome! And welcome to the forum!
I look forward to seeing pictures of him if you get him.Warm clean water and aquarium salt and a little time is sometimes all they need to perk up...I hope that is the case for him. Be prepared to buy more than one...They're very addictive!
